Printing and converting equipment accumulates a specific set of contaminants — dried ink, UV varnish, adhesive, paper dust, and spray powder — in exactly the places that are hardest to reach. Anilox rolls: a caution
Ceramic anilox cells require specialized cleaning to restore volume, and aggressive blasting can damage cell walls. Dry ice is well suited to housings, chambers, frames, and dryers; treat the anilox surface itself as a specialty process with a qualified parameter set or a dedicated anilox cleaning method.

Much of the frame, delivery, and drive-side cleaning is done in place with extended nozzles. Rollers are often pulled for full access.
Will it damage rubber rollers?+
Reduced pressure and fine media are used near elastomers, and a test area is run first.

Cured UV coatings on frames and guarding are removed effectively; the thermal differential helps release them.
